Description
This excursion takes you from Seville to Doñana National Park in a 4x4 ride, guided by a specialist. You’ll start in Puebla del Río, at the gates of the marshes, where you can observe Dehesa de Abajo and one of Europe’s largest colonies of white storks. The flat marsh landscape and its bird diversity define the start of the experience.
The route continues to the village of El Rocío, famous for its pilgrimage and traditional Andalusian atmosphere. There you will visit the Sanctuary of Nuestra Señora del Rocío and the Hermitage, places of great interest for understanding local culture and its religious traditions.
Next you’ll discover the gallery forest of the Acebrón Palace and the Rocina Creek, with a circular hiking route to observe traces of wildlife and endemic plants. After a break to enjoy regional cuisine, you’ll continue to Doñana Beach, with moving dunes and the possibility of a swim if the weather allows.
At sunset you’ll return to Seville through wooded areas in search of mammals such as deer, foxes and wild boar, and, if conditions permit, the Iberian lynx. The experience offers a two-day option with accommodation and is also available in private format.
